Reveal The Unexpected Beauty Of Concrete

Used most often in outdoor concrete applications like sidewalks, pool surrounds, patios and driveways, exposed aggregate is an exciting textural option. Aggregate is most usually small stones—basalt, granite, limestone, quartz—but it can also be any other small, interesting object, including coloured glass. Exposed aggregate is created by either “batching in” the aggregate to mixed concrete and then revealing it by removing the topmost layer of concrete, or by seeding the aggregate on the surface of freshly-poured concrete. We recommend that all exposed aggregate is sealed to protect both its performance and appearance.
